There is no cafe ever in the history of cafes that cares about us parents the way The Joglo does, serving you Mediterranean and Indonesian dishes, fresh-pressed cold juices, killer coffee selection along with that they also provided extensive kids menu, like the Cinderella Vegetarian Pizza and Captain Hook mac & Cheese, you have many kids dedicated menu in this cafe. The Joglo also have Sunday Brunch events where there’s always something fun to do for you and your family, as if that wasn’t enough, The Joglo host Kids Movie Club every Wednesday & Friday, settled on their beautiful green garden with bean bags laid out across the ground facing the big screen (Ps. Breakfast, lunch or dinner when you’re in Parachute any time of the day is perfect, set in the middle of rice paddy field you get that chill ambiance in Parachute, it’s a semi-outdoor restaurant with plenty of open spaces for you and your kids to relax and just soak all that Sunday kind of vibes. Parachute also offers many activities to be enjoyed by all the kiddies, they have Kids Gardening session and some colorful croquet in the garden. For the health conscious adult, Parachute offers weekly organic produce subscription where 10 open slots are available monthly for those who’d like to pick up 5kg worth of fresh organic veggies and spices from the island’s farmers, you can get 15-20 different produce to enjoy every Sunday, if you don’t make the list you don’t have to worry, because every day at 6 am Parachute’s, Farmers Market is open, you can try their fresh homemade selection of bread & pastries, healthy snacking your way to lunch and drink juices while waiting for dinner.

It is a steep competition for high tea in Bali, new places are always opening up for beautiful afternoon tea, but none of them compare to what Biku can offer us parents, in Biku not only you can enjoy adult high tea but the kids can be kept busy with their own set of mini high tea, they will be ecstatic with the selection of cookies, bread, jams, scones, fairy bread with rainbow sprinkles and icing, all the things that they need to have fun is readily available as well, you can spot the toy box somewhere around this place to accompany the kiddos in their tea party. You can’t really call Biku a restaurant as it is more like a small entertainment center for everybody, Biku is a perfect tea lounge, but in here you can find antiques, you can buy books about Bali both for kids and adult, you can enjoy lunch or dinner with their mouth-watering Indonesian menu. It’s all and all a perfect place for parents to relax and let the kids have their own time.

This Peruvian cuisine heaven is located in one of the most famous districts, they offer a good meal at a fair price, their Ceviche and The Surfers Breakfast combo is a must try. Like usual Bali eatery, La Casita’s view is to die for, an open-air space with a beautiful view of rice paddies. But what makes this place need to be on your bucket list is not just the food alone, La Casita is the perfect place for parents to escape the nightmare of entertaining kids during a meal. La Casita offers many many interactive spots for kids to play in, if you are lucky enough you’ll visit on a perfect day where La Casita is having their free cooking class for kids, while the kiddos are busy with their fun and games, parents can rest and enjoy some quiet time.

The Pirate Bay

Sea & sand those are two things pirates are so fond of, so it will be weird for us not to pay homage to pirates, after all, it’s our favorite pass time as kids. The Pirate Bay is here on the island of the gods to bring you and your family a fun day out and about. Their tree houses and abandoned shipwreck is looking out to the beautiful ocean in Nusa Dua area, the kids will have a blast being a pirate for one day with their ‘Treasure Hunt’ Package, included with welcome drinks, pirate costumes, attributes & lunch for the kids, during which the parents can sit back and chat in the restaurant area while relishing their selection of seafood menu.
